Take a Breather
The holidays are approaching, and with them, probably more stress than usual. Stress can be triggered so easily: road construction, a short-term deadline or delays at the bank can each trip you up.
Deep breathing can help you relax so stress won't be overwhelming. Of course, it won't solve the problem that's causing the stress. But you can begin to feel a bit more in control if you pause and do the following.
1. Relax your neck, arms and shoulders.
2. Put aside all stressful thoughts.
3. Inhale deeply through your nose, while expanding your chest. Hold for several seconds. Exhale fully through your mouth. Repeat several times.
