Three Cheers for Enthusiasm!
nthusiastic people make overcoming obstacles seem possible. They always seem to accomplish more and have a good time while they do it. If you're enthusiastic, you're a positive influence on a whole lot of people including yourself.
Genuine enthusiasm is your gift to others -- to your boss, to a store cashier or to the librarian on the other end of the telephone. It's reflected in your eyes, in the way you walk and carry yourself and in your voice. Being enthusiastic makes you appear successful, and, the truth is, it probably helps you succeed.
Everyone can be more enthusiastic. It isn't all that hard, and the pay-offs are rewarding.

Practice being upbeat -- even if you don't feel that way. Like stress, enthusiasm has a cumulative effect. Learn to move and talk with enthusiasm, and you'll find you feel more enthusiastic. Also, your enthusiasm helps other people feel more worthy.
Spend time with people who are enthusiastic. Enthusiasm is contagious. It's like therapy that works both ways. What you offer to others, you'll get back. What's offered to you from others, you'll absorb.
Program yourself with enthusiastic thoughts. Find a book of positive quotations, for example, and read from it at random on a regular basis. Or listen to a speaker who sparks you.
